MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Retailers must have a management control system in place so that the owner/manager can ensure that the store’s procedures are monitored.
This must be recorded.
- Display all relevant posters.
- Train all staff to understand the law, how to identify restricted products and the store’s policy before they serve any customers
- Update and remind staff on a monthly basis.
- Make customers prove that they are old an enough unless absolutely certain.
- Keep records of training, discipline, refusals and compliance checks.
