MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Retailers must have a management control system in place so that the owner/manager can ensure that the store’s procedures are monitored.

This must be recorded.

  1. Display all relevant posters.

  2. Train all staff to understand the law, how to identify restricted products and the store’s policy before they serve any customers

  3. Update and remind staff on a monthly basis.

  4. Make customers prove that they are old an enough unless absolutely certain.

  5. Keep records of training, discipline, refusals and compliance checks.
